Learning a new song for the show. Hint: It's about food.

It is a nicer jam space than any room in any house I have ever lived in...and it is a storage unit.

Yeah, you totally did, haha

Sokay, man, there's a lot of weird buttons there. And they're right next to the "quote" button, so it's easy to hit a "delete everything" instead

Also, my first guesses were "Burger Time" and "McKids" and I was like "...wait, no, that's really out of left field, it's gotta be something more sane than that" haha

(edit) Just remembered why I came here to begin with: Any idea what time the show starts?

It's a DJ, a burlesque show, and wait for it . . .

Oh wow, haha. That sounds pretty rad. I'll let my friend know that's going to record it, too.

Dylan posted on Facebook saying it starts at 9:30 for you guys. Figured I'd mention that here, just in case.

Gourmet Race was absolutely awesome live.

Also, I noticed that since Johntendo and Shredder aren't around anymore, Wily's been doing the solo parts at shows, and he's been just slaying it. Like, that guitar solo during Gourmet Race was straight up nutty. That song looks like it's both challenging and insanely fun to play, you guys were just kinda going :awesome: :buddy: :awesome: :buddy: at each other during parts of it, haha

Also, the triumphant return of Contra in all of its glory. Fuck yes. :\m/:

I heart you guys with face! So rad seeing you all as always and yeah, nutty is a great way to describe gourmetique. Lots of live footage of the show so it should be up in some fashion, somewhere.

Wily's been picking up the shred torch and both he and Dylan have been leveling up big time. Glad you noticed!

:fuckingsun: suuuuuuuuuun

btw, crash, did that drink token work?

Hell yeah it did. I got a cherry Cider! Thanks a bunch dude.

The show was great. The Kirby song was amazing. As soon as you started I had this thought "Oh man, Betsy would love this." It was super fun. Hourglass is a pretty cool place. It has some good Arcade machines and the staff were really friendly. I hope you guys can play here again in the future.

The contra stuff was badass as always.
I may have gotten a crick in my neck from all the thrashing about, but it will heal and i will grow stronger. Dark World sounded FANTASTIC. Big blue was fun.

So Random Encounter has always had this thing where Big Blue really stresses them out. I guess it's a hard song, I am not a musician in the least. (KSK is proof.) I remember though, that was one of your first songs it seems. Even still, you guys are just like "Ok, heres Big Blue again..." I dunno. Maybe you guys are just tougher, I mean, you absolutely ARE. Of course you could just be playing it for longer. Anyways I had also been playing F-Zero X before we came down to the show so that song was fresh in my mind.

Loved the on stage Banter.

It was great chatting with you guys, trying to sell the forums to people, and making Donnie think Mario was someone not affiliated with the band who was very critical of Dr Wily's work. Good times!

I am really glad you guys are back. It's refreshing.

RE drink: RAD!

BigBlue: Yup, it is a notoriously difficult run to play for the lead guitar. But Wily created a rippinleadshredbot and installed it in his forearm and leveled up.

pumping the forums: It will happen, I feel like an army recruiter who can't do all the pushups.

Refreshing: For us too dude, more goodness soon to come.

Really glad you guys made it out. What fun!

Thanks for the kind words about the lead parts...I am no Shredder but I have been trying a few new things, mainly practicing diligently. Never bothered before. Turns out it helps. Go figure right?

Yeah, Kit and Konami do Big Blue better than I can. I was watching them at Ongaku all like smh fml etc. they also threw in Punch Out in the middle, which is funny because we do both songs and keep them away from each other in the set list because they are almost identical at the beginning. I thought that was clever of them. those dudes have gotten tight as fuck over the last few years and are a big reason why I'm now obsessed with upping my game. It's actually pretty fun to finally kind of have my head around how to play really fast stuff, even if I can't actually do it yet. I'll get there though.

Also big big props to Dylan. Motherfucker just STARTED PLAYING GUITAR like 3 months ago and is already doing shit that I couldn't do for the first few years of this band.

Holy shit, wait, you're right, he was the bassist before, wasn't he? It didn't even occur to me that he'd switched instruments. That's really surprising to know he's just picked up the regular guitar recently.

You guys seem like you've got a good system going of sharing the spot light for that, too. Like Sam and Frodo sharing the Ring's load or something. Phrasing?
