Dude, come play online with Cid and me. We hooked Neon up tonight. He started off with no mana, when he left, he had a max bar. :P

We figured out that if a blood moon rises, and you use server commands to make night reset while the moon is going, it has to go through the entire night legitimately before it ends.

So, you can keep getting waves and waves of enemies. We used this to farm the monsters for vanity items. We got a couple of Archeologist Hats, and we actually managed to make 2 pairs of sunglasses (sunglasses take 2 items that have a 1/100 chance of dropping. I found both parts to it tonight, within a 5 minute span...after farming for over an hour, haha).

Overall, good night. We also found the joy of pits filled with zombies, and bombs. Apparently bombs don't break brick walls. So you can use that to make a zombie pit that you can drop bombs into without having to repair it. Lololol.

Ive never been much for glitching or exploiting a game to have fun, it's the reason i generally only play on vanilla MC servers. I prefer to work for my rewards...to an extent. I'm sure at some point it will all just click for me, hell Monster Hunter frustrated teh shit out of me too, and there were quite a few places where i thought i was going to end up just saying fuck it, but i kept going, and now it's one of my favorite games ever. I just have to hit that magic point.

It wasn't so much glitching as I just had that much stocked up. :coookieesssss:
It's more of having friends in high places.

It's not a glitch so much as if you own a server, you're able to change time around. And a Blood Moon has a 1/7 chance of spawning. So, we basically just took about 3 or 4 nights in a row, and turned them into a Blood Moon. Plus, when you've got 400 hit points, 200 mana, and one of the best swords in the game, you kind of NEED a blood moon to feel challenged. :awesome:

Without friends, this game has lost some fun to me. With friends, though, it's a blast, cuz I can help other people get to where I'm at, and we can just go rape and pillage entire worlds for our own amusement. I've got enough money saved up right now, I could buy dynamite from a bomb merchant until I had enough to carve out half a map, haha. And, actually, I'm amazed I haven't tried that one yet, haha.

^Dunno if anyone else really cares as much as me and Cid, but this latest update is fucking WIN.

Antigravity potion. Holy shit, antigravity potion. :awesome:

Only thing I'm upset about? They nerfed the rocket boots. But, with the new stuff available, they kind of had to, I guess. Still, I'm gonna miss flying ever free, free before the thunderstorm. :911::

Hopefully this'll come with increasingly awesome loot on floating islands, since it's gonna be a lot harder to farm them now.

I've been mucking around with a Hardcore (Not really hardcore unless you die WAY down there...) character on a new Small map.
I grabbed a hold of a Couple of Spelunker Potions... OMG! That's what was causing the glow by the way Nameless. :coookieesssss:

Also, Demonite now can be found Naturally. :D

Damn, I was really hoping it was something bad ass looking, haha.

I've booted up the server with TShock which allows some admin type things.
I'm not sure what else it does really, but it's not bad. :coookieesssss:
Gonna keep it up for a while if any of you who do play Terraria want to mess around. (Read: Protected Spawn bitches.)

For those of you who have some interest in Terraria like Nameless and myself.
The developers have been more secretive about what's coming in 1.0.6 while at the same time still giving us information to pique interests in it from their followers.

The current update progress is showing Part 2, there was a 1.5 and of course a part 1.
The update seems so large scale I couldn't post it all so...
Part 1 is mostly about Inventory Management.
Part 1.5 showed bug fixes incoming as well as a teaser.
Part 2 had even more Inventory management as well as new plans for magic users, some damage changes and such.

I'll have to admit, I'm looking as forward to 1.0.6 as I am Minecraft 1.8 right now. :coookieesssss:

Been a while since I posted anything about Terraria. :coookieesssss:
(Source: http://wiki.terrariaonline.com/Upcoming_features)
New Additions and Changes wrote:
Inventory/GUI improvements:
Colored inventory boxes.
Loot All and Quick Stack Chest functions.
Trash Can which allows you to retrieve the last item thrown away.
Items picked up will be placed in the bottom right corner of the inventory first.
Lock button which prevents the hotbar from being altered.
Four new inventory slots for ammo.
Exact health value will be shown above the health bar.
All mana items will be blue instead of purple.
Health gain text will be green.
Right-clicking equippable items will equip them.
Shift-clicking items will vendor them (if trading with an NPC) or will otherwise trash them.
Ammo consuming weapons placed in the hotbar will now display how much ammo there is remaining.
The seven most recently connected servers will now be displayed in the Multiplayer menu.
It is no longer possible to drop items through the spaces between boxes in the inventory.
Grapple hotkey added.
New sounds on some currently quiet enemies/events.

Magic and mana system overhauled:
The rate of mana regeneration is based on a percentage of your maximum mana.
Regeneration rate further varies depending on your current mana (less = slower).
Mana regeneration bonuses have been converted to maximum mana bonuses.
Healing potion effectiveness reduced and cooldown increased (Potion Sickness debuff which lasts 60 seconds).
Life now regenerates automatically. The longer it's been since you've been hit, the faster it regenerates.
Damage given and received has a 15% variance. There is a 4% chance of a critical hit which deals 100% extra damage (player to enemy only).
New hairstyles.
New dungeon content:
Spinning spike-ball trap.
Locked Chests which require Keys to open.
Increased Spike spawn during world generation.
New Night's Edge and Dark Lance sprites.
Items sold to NPCs can be bought back for the selling price.
Addition and removal of background tiles have now been sped up, as well as 1 tile hole being automatically filled up.

New status ailments which provide negative effects to both the player and NPCs:
Poisoned
On Fire!
Cursed
Darkness
Jungle Armor stats altered:
Increases maximum mana
Increases magic critical strike chance
Set bonus: 16% mana usage
Necro Armor stats altered:
Increases ranged damage
Set bonus: 20% chance not to consume ammo
Improved flail mechanics.
Different weapons will have different damage types. Eventually in later updates, certain damage types may be more/less effective against certain enemies.[1]
Cacti no longer cause knock-back.
Thorny Bushes will now be destroyed after touching them.
The Band of Starpower now adds 20 maximum mana instead of speeding up mana regeneration.
Lava Slimes will no longer burst into a pool of lava when killed.

That's just the new stuff, not the bug fixes or future content they want to put in. :cookieshmm:

Because it's been a while...
Some new info! Be it small.

Pick up text. (Like when you pick up a TON of dirt or other items all at once...)
It will be able to be disabled. :coookieesssss:

Also...
Quote:
We've also discussed modding and feel in the near future we'll be able to come up with some rules for the upcoming modding forums, therefore allowing people to distribute their mods on Terraria Online.

The biggest hint we can share with you is to work with wrappers, as we will not be allowing people to distribute the client or server binary files. If you're a programmer, then feel free to offer some suggestions in this thread about how you would like to see it worked (To reiterate, the key here is to not distribute the main binary files).

Did I mention they've sold nearly three quarters of a million copies? :coookieesssss: Currently around 630,000.
