I have to have a film camera and I am wanting to move to a Canon 40D after this semester. I am wanting to stick with Canon because I have likes what I have seen of them and so I can use the same lenses as I change cameras. Any opinions?

Fucking thing was discontinued before I could buy it. I'm looking for it on Amazon and the such now. =P But thanks TGFA! =D After this semester I am going to move on to a Canon 40D. Now THAT... Whats your opinion on THAT? =) If the 50D moves down in price by the summer... I might go for that instead.

40D, even better. I was pondering getting a new camera too. But somehow, my heart's not in it right now. At least not enought to make such a steep purchase. Cuz, I wouldn't want to go on using Olympus systems (lenses to hard to come by and then too expensive) I was looking at the Nikon D90 (probably best consumer level pro-cam of the year). A cool € 1000.- for the entry model, €1500.- for the one with the better zoom lense. Add to that roughtly € 200.- for an external flashlight... I 'could' afford it but I don't know if I will have the time and energy to really make use of it...
