That is, if you ignore the military angle, and all the weird shit they added into that video.

Yup. Force Stephen Hawking into the big chair. Not like he could run away if he didn't want it.

Not really noteworthy except that I'm good friends with the drunk guy in the article.

science + politics = eugenics. no thank you. let's just have him steal a time machine from a future tourist and use it to put Frank Zappa in office.

NOT America?! :cookieshuh:

"Stacey’s mother, Evonne, is exasperated by her daughter’s refusal to eat a healthy and varied diet and wants her to see a specialist."

...Okay, not to be a dick, but, uh...it's kind of the parent's job to make sure that your kids are actually eating right to begin with. It's not like her 2 year old was paying for these chicken nuggets out of her own pocket, right? I mean, up until a certain age you've got control over what your kid eats, and if you're really worried about your kid's health, you'll shove some fruit at them once in awhile and go "here, so you don't get scurvy" or something.

Not to be the food police or anything. I know there's that one dude that eats a big mac every day and he's alive and kicking. But, that isn't the only thing he eats, is it? This girl didn't really have a chance, since she's only eaten crap since she was old enough to chew solid food on her own, and I put the blame totally on the parents on that one.

very much so yes, but she's still the stupid one that won't eat a fucking orange. It's not entirely her parents fault. No matter how she was brought up, she could try some fucking fruit once in a while. She's 17. She can make that decision on her own.

Yeah, but this kid was eating shit since she could process solid foods. I mean, I'd question if it was a money issue, like the mother couldn't afford anything like fresh fruit or vegetables...but, chicken nugget meals are kind of expensive, too. I mean, you take your kid there twice a day for 15 years? Shit.

So, it isn't a money issue. Clearly, they've got enough money to burn on fast food daily.

So, what is it, then? Mommy and daddy can't say no to their darling child who only eats chicken nuggets? Grow some fucking balls and tell your kid no.

I mean, the whole thing is just baffling. How do you suck so hard at parenting?

And, of course the girl can make her own decisions now. That dude that eats like 2 Big Macs a day? He's a grown fucking adult, and he can do whatever the hell he wants. But, he started eating Big Macs daily when he first started driving. He made a conscientious decision to start eating that way when he was already basically an adult (well, teenager). But, I'm sure that isn't the only thing he eats, either, you know? That's just like 1 meal a day. And, that's fine. A bit excessive, but at least he's getting veggies, meat, and bread in with his meal, you know? Better than fried skin and chicken meat being his only form of sustenance. And this girl started doing this when she was just a baby still, so, it's like the only thing that she knows.

but i'm saying its also just as much, if not more her own fault for refusing to pick up a fucking apple. The whole shitty parenting thing only goes so far because I'm sure other food exists in her home. She wasn't being stopped but I doubt she's being force fed either. She's the one refusing to eat any other food in her immediate vicinity.

Also very true. I'd say from age 2 to 10, parent's fault, but the last 7 years or so are completely on her head for being a fucking idiot.

Really, I guess just the whole family is stupid as hell.

This reminds me, too, I haven't read the Darwin Awards in a long time. :cookieshmm:

You'd be shocked (or not) how many of my peers don't see the innate problem with this.

Dude! Seriously!

I think come May, when I'm going to see Megadeth at Metalfest Austria, I'll take a Super Soaker filled with some Santorum to the stage.

dude is talking about data encapsulation algorithms developed in the 1940's being found in string theory models, and none of you care?

It all goes WAY over my head, but it seems pretty crazy. I mean, very specific math formulas showing up in nature is nothing new, from what I understand, but I also REALLY don't comprehend the bulk of this (I study English literature), and can just kind of watch and be like "woah. My scientist friends will probably freak about this."
