is his new kinda-sorta powers just more money? Because that would keep the fight pretty fair.

If I'm right, I'm pretty sure he's referring to Extremis which gives him a healing factor and he can control his suit with his brain now or something.

I think he can also control technology in general to some extent or another

New TMNT micro-series issue came out today Donatello YAY! And my comic shop was sent a free copy of Key of Z #1 New York Comicon promo because they'd ordered every Evil Ink comic since it's inception for me...bonus, it was given to me for free.

Just ordered Books 3-5 of The Walking Dead. So that'll put me up through issue 60.

I got about halfway through The Invention of Hugo Cabret the other day. It's a quick read. Not sure why I havent finished it. Gonna see the movie after I finish. It's not really a comic really, but multiple pages of illustration in a row between every few pages of writing.

I read that for a class I took and really enjoyed it.

Maybe i'm just burnt out on Marvel super events because I read all of Civil War and Secret Invasion back to back (all the tie ins and everything) but man Avengers Vs X-Men is looking like a big boring turd. The Augmented Reality and MARVEL INFINITE stuff is neat though. Wish it was tied to something less bad. Nova's new look is p cool

OH NO THE PHOENIX FORCE IS BACK

AGAIN

who cares

Good thing AMS continues to be great, ordered both big Spider-Islands hardcovers today, super stoked

Also Flash Thompson Venom has totally redeemed the character in my eyes, what a great book. I hope it survives.

Redeemed Flash Thompson or Venom?

Venom

Flash Thompson wasn't really on my radar before I picked this up

I remember one kind of cool moment of Flash Thompson's back during the clone saga (I know, I know) where Ben Reily went into a bar, and Flash was there, absolutely trashed, and he buys Ben a drink and they talk about how much things have changed since high school.

Yeah Marvel has done some interesting things with Flash a few times here and there but he hasn't been in anything resembling the limelight until his new stint as Venom

Hey, if they've finally found a way to make any of the symbiots actually interesting as a character, good for them. I've never been terribly fond of Venom, or (of course) Carnage.

Something like Max Gorgon, I think?

I vaguely remember hearing about that. Makes me sad. I like The Scorpion as a character when he's being all crazy conspiracy nut and whatnot.

You mean Mac Gargan? Did he keep his tail? That would've looked funny.

Just read Spider-Island

Anyone interested in what the current Spider-Man comics are like should read it, it's total popcorn but it isn't brainless like Marvel U summer events

Thanks to the Avengers movie, i've sparked my comic bug again. Only getting a few issues so far, Picked up on Fantastic Four starting with giant sized 100 pages issue 600. I was just talking about it,
[Reveal] Spoiler:
and in that issue they decided to bring back Human Torch. Which is awesome. I knew they would, but you just cant have the FF with out ol matchstick.

Also, in 605, i learned something about The Thing that I didn't even realize.
[Reveal] Spoiler:
Apparently, he doesn't age except when they use this serum that makes him human for a week out of the year. So like, they went into the future a bunch, Reed and his dad, and Thing stays alive till like 6000 and something. Its super depressing
and makes me like Thing even more. He is one of my favorite super heroes of all time. Its funny, because typically I dont care much for your super strength type guys, but Thing i can totally get behind. He has a lot of depth and is funny as hell.

Also, despite what Batman says, I'm digging the Avengers versus X-men arc. At the very least the AVX: Versus comics are awesome. Its basically where they just take two avengers and two xmen and make them fight one on one. Like the first two issues have the following match ups.
Iron Man VS Magneto (
[Reveal] Spoiler:
Don't worry, Iron Man has a suit to deal with Magneto's control of metals
)
The Thing VS Namor
Issue 2
Captain America VS Gambit
Spiderman VS Colossus

they also have fun facts in between the battles like a pop up video, like "Did you know that Captain America can run the 40 yard dash in 3.82 seconds" and stuff like that.

I also went ahead and added New Avengers. It has Iron Fist, which is a completely underrated hero. I have his first appearance comic. I also have a 3 issue Spiderman comic where they fight/team up. Iron Fist punches Spidey off of a building and it made me smile. (btw, i do like spiderman) Heck, i'd love to see a Heroes for Hire Movie! Luke Cage and Iron Fist FTW!

The Avengers: EMH episode with Luke Cage and Iron Fist was pretty awesome. Yeah a Heroes for Hire movie would be great.

Seeing the Avengers has really made me want to go back and re-buy the Infinity Gauntlet.
