I don't know how much anybody here follows sports of any kind, let alone hockey... But the Devils just re-signed Ilya Kovalchuk. I am happy about this. He joined the team late last year and everyone expected him to do just as well as he did in Atlanta with the Thrashers, without realizing it probably takes a while to get used to playing with an all new team, especially a month before playoffs start. Needless to say, when he wasn't scoring goals left and right, fans thought it was a waste of a trade. I kept arguing with people saying "give him time to adapt to how the team plays the game. He'll be fine." Then he almost didn't resign with NJ and nearly went to LA. (Kovalchuk this season, during free agency, was hockey's version of NBA's "Where is Lebron gonna go?" But it got less coverage because hockey is much less popular than basketball...) But I am really excited to see that he will now get that chance to adapt to a different style of play and prove a lot of hockey fans wrong.

most places just care that you HAVE a degree. Not impossible to get a job without one, but it does make it much easier. they all want that little piece of paper.

When I said "everyone" I really meant my parents who keep telling me I'll be a failure if I don't graduate from Tech and that I won't be able to get a job. Which is really funny since I plan on running my own company...eventually. I'm really starting to question whether or not I have the capacity to do so at this point.
