for a long time on SNL Jimmy Fallon got under my skin. I just didn't enjoy him. The past few years, via his late night show, he has been really entertaining.

my favorite musical obsession: The Sesame Street theme song done with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots on Elementary School Music Instruments

Apparently they've done this for awhile. I'm okay coming to this game late. I got to listen to this / watch it and it was just awesome.

Damn, I had seen this before and wanted to watch it again, but it's unfortunately been blocked.

He was pretty terrible on SNL, constantly breaking character, cracking up, and looking directly at the camera. But those exact flaws in sketch comedy translate into pretty good characteristics for late night talk show host. Instead of something to be criticized, it brings character and charisma to a host, and instead of groaning at how awful he is, you find yourself laughing WITH him when he cracks up. He's actually a pretty funny and creative guy, so I'm happy for him that he found the right medium to get that across. SNL wasn't for him, IMO, but he is a pretty fantastic late night host.

New I See Stars album leaked early. It's really impressive how much they've developed their sound. I've loved all four of the their albums, but this one takes everything from Digital Renegade and improves upon in it musically. Though I do wish they kept a little more of their poppy roots. I love heavy shit, but ISS was always only kinda-heavy. Still a great album all the way through.

New A Day to Remember is equally as good. After two pretty lackluster albums for me I didn't have much interest in this one, but it's just as good as For Those Who Have Heart. The heavy sections are probably the best they've ever done. And the talking section at the end of the album is great.

Sentence does not compute. Conflicting parameters.

Marshall Mathers LP 2

The name of the album alone carries a lot of weight. I'm almost finished with it's probably his best work since Eminem Show.

As one of the youtube commenters said on a clip of that scene, it was one of the most emotional film scenes in recent memory. It wasn't inherently sad, or happy, or funny, or anything. But it was just fucking perfect execution. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Jason Segel for writing a movie that would have made Jim Henson proud, for a franchise that I haven't been able to say anything nearly as complimentary since 1992. I'm positive the flawless execution of that scene alone would put a smile on Henson's face. That all said, I am a little worried about Muppets Most Wanted, and I'm not sure why. I feel like it's going to end up being the Muppet Treasure Island equivalent following up 2011's Christmas Carol equivalent. Which if that's the case, will just lead to a Muppets From Space equivalent..... I pray to Henson that I'm wrong.

I've been playing and singing it a lot recently. I heard Paul Williams say it was the best song he'd ever written so I gave it a listen for the first time since i was a kid and bawled my eyes out. Then Bea saw him singing it on Yo Gabba Gabba which sounded like the most heinous experience a human could have and I'm glad I was not party to it.
