Hmm, true. Oh, speaking of that movie. Jason Shwartzman (Gideon in Scott Pilgrim) has a bit part in HHGTTG. He's Gag Halfrunt, the guy on the TV that says "Zaphod iz just zis guy, you know?"
As for the movie as a whole? Yeah, it does kinda bug me that they screwed up some of the characters, but Douglas Adams actually helped work on the movie and stuff, so I still like it, even if it is kinda weird in the way the story progresses. Plus, it has its moments. I tend to not get mad at Hollywood fucking shit up as long as it gives me something awesome in the movie that balances it out. Equivalent exchange or something, I guess? I dunno.
I really like the musical number the dolphins do in the beginning of the movie. That makes up for Trillian and Arthur's romantic subplot. Something that like.
