I'm starting this thread for people who collect movies and TV series and what-not. I've been buying a lot of stuff lately, and this seems like a thread that could stay updated as we all expand our collections.

So, my recent purchases:

Death Proof
Enter the Dragon
Fargo
Heat
King of New York
Last Action Hero
Platoon
Reservoir Dogs
The Secret of Nimh
Spirited Away
The Simpsons: Season 2
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Seasons 1 & 2

Oh, and I got Resident Evil 4 for Wii, but that's not a movie or TV show.

So, yeah. Anyone else get anything cool?

DVD's I bought within the last 2 months:

Opeth: The Roundhouse London
Doomtree Blowout
Hot Shots/Hot Shots Part Deux 2-pack
In Bruges

I also just ordered Cashback from a local music store that is somehow able to get DVD's from their vendor.

My last dvd purchase was, i believe, Big Bang Theory season 1.

Before, that... Probably finally replacing my copy of American History X that I'm never getting back from my friend who borrowed it.

I still have yet to watch the Commentary the Musical feature.

I got it for my dad for Christmas, and we watched the movie, and then we watched the extra feature called Evil League Applications.

There were some surprisingly good ones in there, too. Definitely worth spending a half hour or so watching, because it's really funny. I think my favorite one had to be The Reverend (or maybe it was The Preacher? I can't remember). He was about halfway through the feature. Very awesome stuff :awesome:

The Wackness.

I dunno if anyone here has seen this film. It won the Audience Award For Dramatic Film at last year's Sundance festival. It's about this loner sort of kid who just graduated high school and sells marijuana over the summer to raise money for college. He also has a therapist with which he trades weed for sessions, and a huge crush on the therapist's stepdaughter who went to school with him. It is so. Fucking. Good. Every character is really fleshed out, every actor does an amazing job in their role, and the ending damn near brought me to tears. This is another movie I highly recommend to just about anybody.

I heard it was good, but I can't get past the fact that it has Josh from Drake & Josh in the starring role. I can't stand that formerly fat kid.

I actually had the same opinion but I totally got past it. He really does an amazing job, if I didn't know he was from that show or any current Nick show, I never would've guessed.

yesterday picked up:

Watchmen: Complete motion comic

it was 15 bucks due to a misprinted sign (compared to the on sale 20 bucks) and it came with a free ticket to see film.

and i dunno...i'm a bitch....i really have enjoyed reading the watchmen (read twice in less than about 4 months....thanks for recommendations over and over til i was like "fuck it") so having a different way to read it if i'm ever like....fuck yeahz is cool

so at least i'll be able to say i saw watchmen for "free" when i possibly bitch about it.

I got that for Christmas!

I haven't watched it yet. I just haven't had enough time to sit down and enjoy some Big Lebowski. I'm well over due for watching it again, though.

Yeah. won it factory sealed on eBay for roughly 90 bucks. Sells in stores for about $200. I win.

I'm furious at myself for never watching this show before now. It's basically scrubs in the korean war without the voice-over narrations.

Also, with a depressing themesong. :911:: Suicide is painless.

I need to watch that show more, though, probably. I haven't really watched much of it, but I did see the movie, and I was Trapper John in a play we did in 10th grade, haha

apparently trapper is only in the first 3 seasons. the actor got pissed that instead of being a main character along with alan alda's hawkeye as he was originally told (and how the movie was) he was made into more of a sidekick to hawkeye. so he quit.
