I really need to find a good cheap place around here for dvds. I would love to go on a $1 DVD spree. I'd spend like $50 depending on what was there.

Brink - $60 - $45 coupon = $15 + it came with a $20 coupon off another game purchase in the future
John Hodgemen's - Other things You Need to Know - $2
Nintendo Gamecube Wavebird - $10

Total: $27

Fun story: So I was in Kmart and said "Screw it Brink for $15 I can do. Plus I get a $20 coupon back. I can get LA Noire for $40 next week."

So I go, check out...the guy doesn't understand the coupon at all, and is like "this won't work." without scanning it. I ask him to try, it takes the $45 off and he says "wow, that's really cheap." Upon getting my reciept and bonus $20 coupon off next one he says "That's a good deal." Upon getting home I realize something...he put the $20 coupon AND the $45 coupon I just used into the bag. So I bought Brink for $15 and got $65 in coupons back because of the dumb cashier. I now get LA Noire for $15 also.

:awesome: :awesome: :awesome: :awesome:

I pre-ordered L.A. Noire on Amazon and got a $15 gift card. My plan is to use this towards my next Amazon pre-order, which hopefully will net me another $15 gift card.

Brand new $45 games for life?

That's basically what I'm doing at K-mart. At this point if you buy a game for $60 new without a giftcard of some type, you're getting ripped off. I like this system.

And those Kmart cashiers are fucking idiots. I LOVE THEM!

Last night I got home and was on CheapassGamer....saw that Firefly Bluray was on sale on Amazon. I check the price....20.99........well...I last about a Gorram second. They also had Serenity bluray on sale for 9.99. So I got the complete firefly series for a little over 30 bucks.

Damn...I've tried so hard to stop myself from re-buying some DVDs again...but it's just so damn good.

Also:

Pirates Trilogy 2 Bluray + DVD combo packs for $30 w/ 3 tickets to see Pirates 4. So really..I spent $30 but $24 of it was for tickets to the next film. So pretty sweet deal there.

Back to the future Trilogy on Bluray is on sale at Target for $15, so I price matched at work, used $12 in giftcards to get it for $3
Punchout was $9 on clearance at Sears
Chuck Season 1, 2, 3 is at Walmart for $13
Watchmen was at Best Buy for $10 and I used a giftcard that my dad didn't want anymore so he just gave it to me.

quantities are REALLY limited at Target, so be prepared to possibly grab the ad and price match basically anywhere. Best Buy is a really good bet.

I mainly only watch horror movies in october and I've seen Quarentine but not rec. I know Q is an american remake of rec...so I figured that might be good enough to jump right into rec2

it COULD be, but I think [REC] was better. From what I recall of Quarantine, it covers the same points. Don't really remember. I think rec was better though because Quarantine threw in a bit extra violence and gore just for the sake of adding more shock visuals to it. I thought that was kind of unnecessary.

In a rather Bogey-esque haul today...

DVD
Drag Me to Hell
How to Lose Friends and Alienate People
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Social Network
Happy Gilmore
Chaos Theory
Machete
Adventureland
The Other Guys
Crazy Heart
Dan in Real Life
My Name is Earl season 2 (loose discs with no case :? )
Scrubs season 1 disc 2 (lost that disc ages ago)

Blu-ray
Leaves of Grass
Red
Zombieland

Grand total? $38.84

God I love when Blockbusters close.

Note: I have not yet seen Leaves of Grass, Drag Me to Hell, Crazy Heart, Machete, or How to Lose Friends. I hope none of them suck, but at that price I won't really care.

Just keep going every week as they keep dropping their prices. The final 3 days everything will be $1 and final day everything will be 50 cents. It is so much great fun.
