I dont know why. I think their music is great.

Or is it just the licence that Nintendo owns?

If Neskimos cae out with a CD i would buy it.

I heard of NESkimos on TechTV

Kinda a random post there, lol, but, yea, good point. Neskimos should be signed on with someone, but I think that Nintendo has got all their music tightly secured with copywrite laws and whatnot. They were talking about selling CDs, but they needed to raise like 900 dollars.

If you wanna help contribute to the funds to get Berserker started, they've got a pay pal account on the front page, I think

Welcome aboard, btw.

I always thought it'd be a good idea to strike a deal with Nintendo and sell albums at gaming stores - not music stores. There's no way Nintendo can lose out.

You stole my dad's idea for the band! If the NESkimos got a deal with Nintendo themselves, they could have serious fundage to make as much music as they wanted without worrying about copyrights. That would kick so much ass! They couldprint the 3 current CDs, and make more of them, and tour!

Maybe music in the nintendo games. Or just games.

And what if they run out of Nintendo songs to play?

Nintendo isn't exactly a big supporter of these sorts of things, be it independant movies, music, anything. Even if they could slap their name on it, they usually naysay most of it.

And, it'd have to have some agreement with the big N. Mmm, copyright.

Not to mention if you get yourself signed to practically anything, you lose A LOT of creative freedom...meaning if they got signed with good ol' Nintendo, who's to say they'd even still be doing old school NES music?

George Lucas was fined a ton of $ just because he didn't put any credits in the prologue of STAR WARS. Creativity has its harsh and mainly retarded limits in this terrible corporate world.

Nintendo is ran by a bunch of uptight tightwads and there is not a good chance that they will "sign" the Neskimos. The world is often a cruel, unfair place thats why i go eat processed meat products!

Seriously, if Nintendo were to give the NESkimos rights to sell CDs, I still would reject them being signed. The majors are evil, man.

I think it's more a matter of how many records would sell. I love a lot of the NESkimos songs I've heard, I think they're brilliant takes on the original game nusic, especially (sea) snake man (very reminiscent of Apache, I thought).

However, I'd have to say that all of the songs are very niche related. We may love the songs, but would enough people love them for it to warrent an album being released?

Jesus you people are entertaining! :!:

You know, we always talk about NES and SNES covers... what about Game Boy?

The Title Music from Mega Man 2 for Game Boy would be an awesome cover, as would a cover of the world 1-1 music from Super Mario Land.

Or the Pokemon Gym Leader Battle Music?!?!? That could kick some serious ass, if done right.

Um, a petition to do what? Sorry I got lost in there somewhere.

And about Game Boy songs, I proposed the idea of our next album being Game Boy songs, but it was shot down by the NESkimites. Alas.

As for single songs, we just haven't gotten to that yet. But Tetris is coming. Hip hop flava and all.

ps I don't care what anyone says, Tetris was for Game Boy. It never felt right playing it on a television screen.
